After the most fashionable week, which has finally come to an end, I got to interview one of my favorite models, Alesia Raut , she is the official ramp walk trainer for Femina Miss India and Miss India Universe and has been an inspiration to me since the time I took up modeling as a career.
she is one of the models, who I look up to in every aspect, she is not only a Super-Model but also a Super-Mom. Such a poised fragile darling as herself, don’t let her looks deceive you, as she is head strong , focused and one of the most hard-working models I have come across, her dexterous walk is so captivating ,I always get to learn something new from her.
How was your experience at LFW winter/festive 2015 ?
We saw much more promising new designers and the established ones really came up with fabulous new wearable collection. it was hectic but manageable, thanks to the amazing hospitality provided by the organizers.
Who was your favorite designer /collection this season?
My favorites this season… frankly were many. But the few that I would list that I loved were Manish Malhotra, Neeta Lulla, Tarun Tahiliani ,Shraddha and Mayank,Nikhil Thampi and Gaurang Shah.
Which outfit was the best , that you wore this season?
There were quite a few that I loved donning , I don’t have one but three best outfits. I love wearing a Saree, it being our traditional outfit I find it very elegant and gracious. Designer Nikhil Thampi created a beautiful collaboration of tradition and modern in this Saree that I’m wearing. I also loved what I wore for Neeta Lulla and ofcourse Manish Malhotra.
How do you take care of your beautiful tresses and your flawless skin?
I do regular Kerastine hair spa, for which i personally go to Sushil from SMASH Salon who does a fabulous job on my hair. For my skin I have to be strict with my self with regularly workouts , drinking a lot of water and having a well-disciplined eating habits
Did you face any difficulties during the fashion week? how did you manage it?
The only difficulty that I think we all models faced were the hectic working hours. Working late nights and reporting back early in the morning was tedious. As every 9.30 pm shows was as grandeur as a grand finale, so we had to report early in the morning at 7 am for rehearsals for that particular show. but the efforts paid off from all sides. We all pulled it off by catching up with some power naps in between shows.
Share your best moment you had this season?
it has to be the opening show for Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla where all 55 models had to dance to a well choreographed sequence. it looked soooo amazing!
what are you gonna miss the most , now that the fashion week is over?
I’m gonna miss all my model friends as we all stood together through the best times and the worst and we never stopped having fun even thought we were all really tired.
